Safeguarding at Adelphicare: Our Commitment
At Adelphicare, we are unwavering in our commitment to protect every vulnerable individual we support from all forms of abuse, neglect, and harm. Safeguarding is not just a policy—it is a core value woven into everything we do.
We champion best practice, transparency, and collaborative working to ensure the highest standards of safety, dignity, and respect for all service users.
A Culture of Safety and Trust
We foster an open and supportive environment where everyone—staff, service users, families, and partners—feels safe to speak up. All safeguarding concerns are listened to, taken seriously, and acted upon promptly and compassionately.
We believe that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. While each of our services has a Designated Safeguarding Lead—trained to a high standard in adult safeguarding, the Care Act, Prevent Duty (PVA), and safeguarding supervision—we empower every team member to recognise, respond to, and report concerns with confidence.
Safeguarding remains a standing agenda item at all levels of our organisation, including Director-level meetings, ensuring it is always prioritised at the highest level.
Robust Systems, Continuous Improvement
We maintain clear, up-to-date policies and procedures aligned with national and local safeguarding frameworks. These are reinforced through:
- Mandatory, high-quality safeguarding training for all staff, delivered regularly and tailored to role-specific responsibilities
- Ongoing supervision and reflective practice in line with CQC and regulatory requirements
- Robust recruitment processes that fully comply with safeguarding and safer recruitment standards
Our practices are continuously monitored and evaluated to ensure effectiveness, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Working in Partnership
We actively collaborate with Local Authorities, safeguarding boards, police, health services, and other key agencies to:
- Deliver coordinated, person-centred responses
- Participate in local alert systems and multi-agency training
- Share learning and embed best practice across the sector
Through these partnerships, we ensure that the people we support receive the safest, most responsive, and compassionate care possible.
